Start with a block-sized dictation habit
Place the cursor in a normal text block, dictate one complete idea, stop, and inspect the result. Create the next block deliberately instead of speaking several structural commands and hoping the editor interprets them.
This rhythm is slower than an uninterrupted monologue but usually faster to repair. It also makes accidental insertion into the wrong database field easier to catch.
Use Notion’s own structure tools
Notion documents keyboard and Markdown shortcuts for headings, lists, links, and navigation. Use them after transcription or between spoken sections. A system-wide dictation app inserts text; it is not an official Notion integration and does not manipulate blocks through Notion’s API.
