Common Windows questions
My browser blocked the download / “isn't commonly downloaded”?
Because the installer isn't code-signed yet, Chrome and Edge flag it on download (not on running it). Click Keep — in Edge, open the ⋯ menu on the warning → Keep → Keep anyway — to save the .exe, then open it. It's the official build straight from our GitHub releases.
“Windows protected your PC” / Unknown publisher?
SmartScreen shows that because the installer isn't EV-code-signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway — it's the official build straight from our GitHub releases.
My antivirus flagged it — is it safe?
New, unsigned installers occasionally trip a false positive. The build comes directly from our public GitHub releases, where you can verify the source.
Does it work fully offline?
Yes — transcription runs on-device with local models, so your voice never leaves your PC. Optional cloud AI formatting is opt-in and uses your own key.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Prefer the store? There's a Microsoft Store build too.
